PROJECT DETAILS

10 years ago, the Ouray County Ranch History Museum was able to secure (through a generous long-term offer) a 10-acre parcel due east of the Ridgway library. This site occupies the northern half of a larger acreage occupied by both the Ranch Museum and the Ridgway Railroad Museum. Our vision and plans have now evolved into what will become:
SouthWest Colorado Ranch Heritage Center
To achieve this new goal, we are launching a Capital Campaign due to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Our leaps forward have begun; we are now asking for your help as we begin our journey to this next step - toward a new Ranch Heritage Center.
The hope and perseverance shown by the ever-changing SW legacy ranchers and families continue to grow, and our Ranch Heritage Center will offer all a place to enjoy (storytelling, images & film, documents), protect, and continue learning from this important cultural and economic livelihood.
